Preliminary Activity: Greet the participants. (ìGood morning & welcome to our seminar for the ministry of the sick. Congratulations for attending this significant activity. I hope that you recognize your important and crucial role in this undertaking.î) I am Sister Carolina L. Sugpatan. It is my pleasure to be at service with you.
Activity 1 (20 minutes) "A Tea Party Without Tea"
Introduce the activity to the participants by saying. ìLet us simulate a Tea Party without tea. You will all participate as guests in the partyî As the music played, you will get a partner and face each other. When the music stops, make a short conversation on a particular question asked by the facilitator.
Preliminary warm-up questions:
What do other people like in you the most? What has been your best achievement as a person? When are you most happy as a person? What do you like most about your life? What do you like most about your work? What made you choose this service?
Main Question: Can you recall the love of the Father, the sacrifice of the Son and the action of the Holy Spirit? Allow sharing of the participants with other participants. After the sharing, ask volunteers to share their insights and feelings about the activity.
Activity 2 (15minutes) Form dyad or triad. Each should do the following: a) Discuss the Eucharist and the church. b) Using meta cards, list down the important features of the Eucharist. c) You are given 10-15 minutes to finish the activity. d) After the allotted time, post your output in the designated area for viewing of all the participants. -Participants view the output ìEach group is given 10 minutes for a gallery walkî
Analysis: (15 minutes) After the viewing, pose the following questions: What features of the Eucharist and the church written in meta cards are similar and can be grouped together? Direct the participants to group the common features of the Eucharist and the church by posting the meta cards in columns.
Abstraction/Generalization: Present the Power Point to introduce the mysteries of Eucharist. Allow a discussion of each presentation.
Concluding Activity (5 minutes)
